Working Hard!

We are still working on our backyard and this weekend's project was planting a tree and flower bed in the back!! We planted a river birch with some lilys around it!!! Ezekiel and his daddy did a great job!! My nephew was also there to help!

A Hero!

Happy Memorial Day! I wanted to post a picture of Ezekiel and Papa today in honor of him because he fought for our freedom. I appreciate the war he fought in not only for me but for my son! Papa has told us some stories about battle and some I find so hard to believe and the stories he does not speak of - I can not even imagine! Papa, thank you for being a hero!!!

When we have been saying the prayer lately Ezekiel has asked us to thank God for his games!!! this morning for breakfast I asked Ezekiel if he wanted to say the prayer. He said, "Yes!" But got real shy when it was time, so we helped him! He repeated our prayer and then let out a great big AMEN!!

Grilled Cheese Please!

Tonight we went out to eat with Nana and Papa at the Clock Drive-In in Boiling Springs! Ezekiel was looking at the menu saying, "This is the best book!" The waitress came over to our table and he ordered his own food for the first time. He said, "Grilled Cheese please!" He them expected it right after his request! He only had to wait a little while!! Yum! Yum!

Happy! Happy!! Happy!!

At the end of Wow! Wow! Wubzy they send a fantastic song that says, "Be Happy, Happy, Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy!!!!" Ezekiel was singing along!

Get up!!!!

Kegan was taking a much needed nap on Sunday afternoon (especially having spring practice last week). Ezekiel and I were up and he noticed Kegan was asleep! I was glad I was able to film it!!!!! He woke his daddy up!!! Of course, Ezekiel and I found it more funny than Kegan did!

Mama, He pushed me!!!!

I do not like tattle tales and do not encourage it by no means but did find Ezekiel sweet today and a precious moment when he communicated to me to say, "Will, pushed me!" We ate at our friend's house tonight (Trent, Pattie, Will, and of course Baby Hampton!!) and Will and Ezekiel were walking down their hallway and Will pushed Ezekiel. This is not uncommon for this to happen. One minute it is Ezekiel pushing Will and the next it is Will pushing Ezekiel -while we are all hoping that noone pushes Baby Hampton. Well I just overlooked it and did not think nothing of it until Ezekiel came over to me and told me. Then I addressed Will and everything was fine! However, I could not help but to smile because for so long I was concerned about Ezekiel's speech and him communicating and tonight was another way that he communicated and expressed his feelings!!! I know that the tattling will get old soon- but for the first time- it did make me smile!

Before nap and rain!!!

So much fun!

When we get home now we always have to go around back to make sure our 'playground' is there. Today was no exceptions. We got home from church and Ezekiel had to go around back and slide down the slide. He has such a great time!! A few rain drops here and there, dirt on his church clothes but a smile on his face. What really mattered was not that mama or daddy was sleepy and want the afternoon Sunday nap but that Ezekiel was able to go 'wheee' on his playground!!!

Saturday mornings!!!

Our best time as a family is Saturday mornings!! We sleep late! When we get up I cook a good breakfast and we all sit down and enjoy each other's conversations. One of the best parts if the fact that we are not rushed to go many places and we can hang out in our pjs for a while!!! Ezekiel loves to lay on the pillows in the living room and watch none other than Thomas and Friends!!!!! We find time to play hide and seek! It never fails how we always end up recreating the story of Thomas on our very own Sodor Station!!!! Ezekiel this moring was placing Thomas in tricky situations but he overcame each one. One situation the water tower had fallen on the tracks. BUT Thomas stopped until a Diesel pushed the tower off the track and the coast was clear!!!! What an imagination!!

Park Fun!!!

We enjoyed playing at Cleveland park Saturday with my nephew!!!! Ezekiel had so much fun chasing Hayes around and sliding down the slides!! It was a great time! Not too hot either! We had a blast! As Ezekiel calls Cleveland's miniature train, "Sodor Station and Thomas!" it was closed! So, once he got over that Thomas was not there he was able to enjoy himself more!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

What a priviledge it is to being a mom! I am the mom of the best 3 year old ever! He has the best personality and I love his imgaination and determination he has. I learn so much looking through his eyes! I have many jobs with being a mom: giving baths, cooking supper, cleaning house, changing diapers and even though I get weary at times it still is a joy to be able for someone to call you "Mom!" I also understand the responsibilty I have as being a mom. It is my job to teach him about a Proverbs 31 women so that he will know what type of wife to choose. I have to teach him to place Jesus first in his life. May I choose the right friends so that he will know what friendship means, may I go the right places so that he will know where he should and should'nt go, may I make the right decision so when it comes time for him to decide on some issues he will know what choice to make, May I honor God in all my ways so that he will know how he should honor Jesus. I am thankful for many things as a mother:1) I have a child who is healthy! 2) I have a wonderful mom and mother-n-law who show me how to be a great mom. Through their examples I know the right decisions to make for my son.3) I have a supportive husband who loves me and appreciates all that I do as a mom.4) I am thankful for Vicki who watches Ezekiel through the week and loves him and nutures him when I cannot be there! 5) I am thankful for my son! He brings me so much joy! I am very proud of him and what he has accomplished in his 3 years!!

Ezekiel, I love you more than you will ever know! I hope you always will follow Jesus and his ways. I will always be here for you and will love you no matter what! You will always be my baby!

Playing with Thomas!

One of our favorite things to do is play with Thomas and his friends. It seems lately that all we do is read about Thomas, watch movies about Thomas, and play with his friend on our very own Thomas the train Sodor station! On this particular day a train was facing obsticales on the bridge and had to STOP!!!

Green Spinach!

Lately Ezekiel has been wanting to drink tons of milk!!! However, after the first sip he always says, " It's not milk! It's green spinach!!!

CHOO! CHOOO!

Today we went to Cleveland park to ride the train! We rode a couple of weeks ago and we had left over tickets! Ezekiel was so excited! He held the tickets on the way there and was saying "Tickets please! All aboard!!!" We pulled up at Cleveland park and could not get there fast enough! Ezekiel and kegan rode first and then we had the train all to ourself! Ezekiel was able to drive the train with the conductor and he loved it!!! When he goes through the tunnel he holds his hands up high and screams!! When he was helping drive the train the conductor showed him the button to push for the horn! He blew it several times then sat back and enjoyed the ride but kept on pushing the button - but with his foot! It was too hard to reach it with his hands! We had a blast!

Can you say problem solver!!!!

Ezekiel loves puzzles and he had the peg puzzles and then the big pieces where there were 8 per board! Well we have graduated!!! He has 2 24 puzzle pieces!!! and would you believe it or not he put the Cars one together last night by himself! He does do it the logical way! Look at the picture of the box and then find it and then match the puzzle piece. He words so very hard and is very proud of himself! You better make it quick for a sneak peak because in seconds he is tearing it up saying, "Put it together again!!!!'
