Principal's Honor Roll at 3!!!!!

One of Ezekiel's birthday presents was a puzzle Thomas the train game. You match two puzzles pieces up at a time: a letter and then a item that begin with the letter. I was showing Ezekiel on Tuesday how to look at the word on the piece and look at the first letter and see what letter of the alphabet he needs to match it up with. He amazed me. The very next day he was playing with the game and wanting to put the puzzles together. He picked up the piece with the word on it "Zig-Zag" and said, "I need a 'Z'!" and he found the letter Z and made a match. He then got the word "Percy" and said, "Mama, I need a 'P'!" and he found the P and made a match. He was able to put all of the pieces together with the correct letter! I was so proud of him! He is so smart!(Must take after his mom!!!!!)

God's Promise "stuck in the sky"

There were small showers today with sunshine peeking through. When I looked outside I saw a rainbow. I was so excited to show Ezekiel. We went on our back porch and he saw the rainbow and said, "Colors are stuck in the sky." I told him that the colors was called a rainbow. He began screaming, "Rainbow, Rainbow, Rainbow!" It was so loud that our neighbors came out on their back porch to see this magical rainbow. We called Nana to tell her about the rainbow. Ezekiel was amazed at how the colors got up there. I told him it was God's promise! It was great to be able to share in such a great moment with him.

The 'B' says ba!

Ezekiel has been able to recognize his letters for a while now! He know what they are no matter where you are, especially in a store he knows them really loudly!!!! We have played many games with letters! One night we took a walk in our neighborhood to search for letters! We found them in great places! Ezekiel would say, "Letters are everywhere!" Today Ezekiel was playing with is Thomas the train 'labtop' and one of the games on there is to make the beginning sounds. We have sung the songs ," The A says ahh! The A says ahh! Every letter makes a sound, the A says ahh!" Tonight he was able to play the game because he knew all the letter sounds! Wow! At 3 years old- he knows what letters makes what sounds! As a mom I was thrilled, as a teacher I was esctatic!!!!!!!!!

BUGS! BUGS! BUGS!

Little did I know that a present with Bugs and a magnifying glass would make my son so happy! Ezekiel has loved playing with his Bugs set that Jimmy and Lisa gave him! He has to put on the garden gloves, sunglasses, and get his mag glass (as he calls it) and latern and look at his bugs! He loves the lady bugs! He put them in groups and "finds a match'! They puts them in a line like they are marching! It's amazing what bugs can do at our house! Tonight they went for a swim while Ezekiel was taking a bath! Zooming through the air and then splash!! As soon as we got out of the bathtub and got our pajamas on we had to put on the gloves, glasses, and get our bugs!!!!! As long as they are not real- I do not mind!!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Ezekiel decided about a month ago that he wanted his birthday party to be a Thomas the train party! We bought the stuff and it has been on his mind every since. Almost everyday he has asked if it is his party yet! I would always say, "Not yet! But in ___ days! " Last night we decorated the house for the party and when he went into the kitchen and saw all of the party stuff he said, "Mama, I found my party!!!!" He was so excited! Saturday morning we went and got his balloons! He had to sit in the back of the truck in the middle of 20 balloons! I could only see his legs going down the road! We got home about 10:30 and I had to begin the explanation of how long it was until 3, when the guests should arrive! Finally, 3 o'clock came! Guests begin to arrive and we began the party! Ezekiel was so excited! He was turning in circles and thrilled that his party was finally here! We sang "Happy Birthday" and he had the biggest smile on his face- he was over joyed it was his party! It was such a great day! Ezekiel had a great time! Happy Birthday Ezekiel!

Top Five things to do when you have the flu- From Ezekiel's point of view

1. Talk in a real high voice.
2. Wear hats & gloves, or sunglasses inside- but one at all times-
3. Watch Wow! Wow! Wubzy- ALL DAY LONG!!!
4. Say,"Help!" if you do not feel like reaching for your juice- even if it is only inches away.
5. Sit with mama on the couch with a blanket next to you but not covered up with!

Always prepared when you have the flu!

March has started off with a cold blast! We loved the snow and was able to play out in it with our friends for a little while. We knew that Ezekiel did not feel great and the doctor's report told us that he had the flu! When he is sick everything is drama. If cartoons goes off, we cry. If our sippy cup is empty, it is a catastrophe! But Ezekiel today was thinking ahead and being prepared. We did have to call the builder today because our heat is not heating the way it should and so it is 68 degrees in our house- which makes it a little chilly- we have just had to wear long sleeves, pants, and socks! Ezekiel had been fine all morning until about 12:00 and came to me and asked for his gloves and hat! I put it on him because when he is sick - we do whatever to make him happy! So, he is sitting around the living room with his cartoons and all bundled up! You never know when the snow will come in and he needs all of his clothes- Always thinking ahead!

Flu!

We went to the doctor today around 2:00 and found out that Ezekiel has the flu! The only thing that can cure it is Wow! Wow! Wubzy! and me holding him! He is resting this afternoon and hopefully tomorrow he will feel better. The doctor gave him two medicines and we have to give him tylenol and motrin. It is like fighting a bear giving him medicine! Most of the time I chicken out and give his medicine to him mixed in with his sippy cup- but not these meds b/c we are on a time limit. So, Kegan and I are both holding him down as hard as he can and we still are having trouble getting it in. I start laughing, Ezekiel is crying, Kegan's blood pressure is boiling- I am sure it was a sight! I hope he feels better soon!
